HALF DAY TOURS

Our half day tours in the London area can follow your arrival at a London Airport and end with leaving you and your baggage at your London hotel or collect and then return you to your hotel or even leave you at another Location giving you an opportunity to visit a particular place. The half day tour is often used as an orientation tour helping you to decide how to best use your stay in our great City.

EXAMPLE HALF DAY TOURS

i) We track your aircraft for actual arrival time and meet you in airport arrivals, help take your luggage to our car and then drive out to the 11th.century Windsor Castle for a conducted tour visiting many of the fabulous rooms of the Castle (Windsor Castle is the oldest inhabited Castle in the World, and often described as our Queen's favourite home). We then drive to Eton College, the School of many of our most famous leaders during the past centuries, and visit the beautiful nearby Church. From Eton our journey takes us towards London and depending on the location of your hotel, passes some of London's most famous sights. Ivor will discuss with you the history of the places you see and answer your questions and / or give impartial advice on any aspect of your visit to England.

ii) Ivor collects you from your hotel and then takes you for a tour of London lasting about 5 hours. We pass all of the major sights including Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, The Natural History Museum, The Royal Albert Hall, the Beatles' Abbey Road Studios and many more. If you have any specific wishes these can normally be included. The tour concludes with your return to your hotel or anywhere of your choice in Central London. At the beginning of the tour your will be given a Souvenir Information pack with comment on the places seen.

iii) You choose where you go! A five hour round trip tour to locations of your choice. Ivor collects you from your hotel and drives you on a tour of your choice. There would be time to visit Windsor Castle or Kew Gardens or maybe Hampton Court or a delightful Couintry House with gardens. The tour would be agreed by e-mail before you leave home and at the start you will be given a Souvenir information pack.
